dc.description.abstract This research is based on the idea that the secretary plays a very important role in every activity carried out by the leader. The leadership will not carry out its activities properly without a secretary to assist him, both in correspondence or monitoring the schedule of meetings with other parties, even in handling office administration. This research was conducted at PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Regional 1 Sumatra Jln. H.M Yamin SH No. 2 Terrain. This study aims to determine (1) the requirements to become a secretary (2) the role of the secretary (3) the factors that affect work efficiency (4) the role of the secretary in creating work efficiency in the company. To complete the writing of this paper, the author uses a qualitative method, namely by reading books related to the secretarial world in the company.
