dc.description.abstract This research is based on the idea that PDAM Tirtanadi, Medan City, plays an important role and function in improving public services. The company cannot carry out its activities properly without the support of other parties. PDAM Tirtanadi plays a very important role in improving services. Because services have a strategic role in achieving organizational goals, so that companies can maintain a positive image in the eyes of the public. Therefore, this study aims to describe how the role and function of a Public Relations in improving the services carried out at PDAM Tirtanadi, Medan City. The theory used to analyze the problem of the role and function is about Public Relations. This research was conducted at PDAM Tirtanadi, Medan City, especially in the Public Relations section. The approach used is a qualitative approach. The research results obtained and at the same time become conclusions, among others, that public relations plays a very important role in improving services so that they can facilitate their implementation activities at the Tirtanadi Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) Medan City which is a company engaged in the service sector, so expand and add insight in order to improve service.
