dc.description.abstract | Letter is a written communication tool that contains information that is conveyed from one party to another party who has a need (individual or organization). Handling letters is very important, especially for agencies such as the North Sumatra Provincial Manpower Office, which deals with many agencies, companies and individuals who really need information from the North Sumatra Provincial Manpower Office. In correspondence activities at an organization or agency, letters can achieve the goals in organizational activities. The research was conducted at the North Sumatra Provincial Manpower Office, especially in the general and personnel department. The research approach used is a qualitative approach. The results of the research obtained and at the same time become the conclusions of this study, among others, that letters play an important role in the process of delivering information, so as to facilitate the implementation of administration at the Manpower Office of North Sumatra Province, therefore on the occasion of the observations carried out this time, the procedure for managing letters will be explained. which is expected to expedite the process of delivering information, especially in the administration of government agencies which are increasingly demanded for smooth administration to assist in the effectiveness of performance and the fulfillment of community needs.
