| dc.description.abstract | This research is based on the idea that public relations is a form of activity and at the same time a communication process of human contact, both individually and in groups. Because without communication it is impossible for interaction to occur. This study aims to describe the importance of communication in public relations at PDAM Tirtanadi Medan. The theory used to analyze communication in public relations is about communication. The research was conducted at PDAM Tirtanadi Medan, especially in the public relations section. The research approach used is a qualitative approach. The research results obtained and at the same time become the conclusions of this study, among others, that communication is very important in public relations, so that it can facilitate the implementation of other activities at PDAM Tirtanadi Medan. Because PDAM Tirtanadi Medan is an institution that serves the community in terms of providing information, it is necessary to add insight into public relations regarding the importance of communication, so that public relations can also explain communication to guests who come.
