| dc.description.abstract | This research is based on the idea that personnel administration plays a very important function and role in every office activity that is directly related to the daily lives of employees. This research is a descriptive research. Therefore, this study aims to describe how the role and function of personnel administration at the Regional Library and Archives Agency of North Sumatra Province. The theory used to analyze the problem of the role and function of the administration is about administration. The research was conducted at the Regional Library and Archives Agency of North Sumatra Province. The subjects of the research are all parties who can provide complete information about the background and actual state of the personnel administration. The results obtained and at the same time become the conclusions of this study, among others, that personnel administration has a very large role and function in improving performance within an organizational scope. Because it can be said that personnel administration is very closely related to getting employees who have / have good performance. In addition, personnel administration has the aim of making human labor effective in its use and creating interesting working relationships among members of the organization as well as trying to make the development of individuals as employees in the organization run optimally.
