dc.description.abstract The creation of this tool was motivated by the increasingly rapid increase in technology in the field of AI (Artificial Intelligence), thus enabling humans to make work easier. However, apart from that, there are things that often escape human supervision, namely waste of electrical energy and gas leaks which are actually dangerous if not addressed immediately. To improve technology and these problems, the author created a tool that will be used to control the electrical load in the house and increase security if a gas leak occurs in the house. The method used in making this tool is by taking data and designing a tool to create a smart home system tool for a type 36 house based on IoT (internet of things) with the help of the Esp8266 module which is connected to a light sensor, so the sensor will work whether there is light or not. and the gas sensor will work when it detects a gas leak. Then by using a 5v 4 channel relay which is connected to each light with the help of programming and an internet of things system, just using a cellphone we can connect the light or fan that is on and even provide a warning or alarm notification if a gas leak occurs. By using this tool, it is hoped that everyone, especially those involved in the world of technology, will be able to implement this tool so that house fires do not occur again due to gas leaks and damaged electrical equipment that is forgotten to be turned off.
