The Medan City Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency utilizes technology by creating an Online Attendance System. The online attendance system is a method of recording employee attendance that is carried out online through an application. The purpose of this research is to find out how the online attendance ussage system for ASN (State Civil Apparatus) employees at the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency of Medan City. This research uses qualitative descriptive research, where data collection techniques are through observation, interviews and documentation.
The research results show that this online attendance system is application- based which will record all data when employees are absent. This recording is carried out using selfie and GPS methods, which later when recording attendance, taking photos will immediately automatically detect the location of the place where attendance is being taken. This application can also help employees in the process of recording attendance because it is recorded automatically so that the resulting data is also accurate. Recording attendance also does not take a lot of time and is much easier so that the effectiveness of the online attendance system for ASN (State Civil Apparatus) employees can increase employee discipline because time for attendance is limited, as well as creating employees who have responsibility for time and work. at the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency of Medan City.
