The title of this research is the Role of Public Relations in Improving
Communication Media at the National Narcotics Agency of North Sumatra
Province. The purpose of this study was to find out how the role of Public
Relations at the National Narcotics Agency for North Sumatra Province
(BNNPROVSU) in conveying information to the public, by conducting this
research researchers will better understand how Public Relations for the National
Narcotics Agency for North Sumatra Province work in conveying information to
the community and what are the obstacles faced when delivering information to
the public. Researchers used a qualitative descriptive research method by
presenting data in the form of descriptions in the form of narratives, words,
expressions, opinions and ideas collected by researchers from various sources.
Researchers obtained data based on in-depth interviews with resource persons
who were able to answer the problem formulations summarized by researchers.
From the results of research and interviews conducted by researchers, the
information conveyed by public relations is very useful for people not to use drugs
because drugs can damage people's lives and can make users die, therefore the
results of interviews conducted by researchers are very useful for society to stay
