| dc.description.abstract | Archives are a source of information and as a monitoring tool that is indispensable in every organization in the context of planning activities, policy formulation, decision making, and report generation. Information obtained through archives can also avoid communication errors, prevent duplication of work and help achieve work efficiency. Poor archive management in an office will make it difficult to find information that has been stored and can eventually hinder the next stage of the work process. Therefore, it is necessary to immediately provide practical work instructions, how these files should be received and reused. The data collection method used in this research is by observation which is carried out by direct observation of the activities filing at PT. PD. Paja Pinang, as well as interviews with dialogues conducted by researchers to obtain information, this method is done by asking questions to employees in the administration section of PT. PD. Paja Pinang. In this study there are problems how the archive management system of PT. PD. Paja Pinang and its constraints. The purpose of this research is to find out the management of the archive system, as well as what obstacles occur in the archiving process at PT. PD. Paja Pinang Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that the archive management system at PT.PD. Paja Pinang is not perfect, there are still many shortcomings that must be corrected. This is evidenced that there are still many archives that are not in place. The suggestion that the author gives is that the company should recruit special workers in the field of archives who are creative and disciplined so that they can organize and manage archive files properly in accordance with the actual storage procedures.
