Concrete is a material composed of several mixtures, one of which is cement. Recently, it is known that the increasing price of cement has resulted in the cost of making concrete which is also increasingly expensive. One solution that can be pursued is to use glass powder as a partial substitution of cement. This is based on the large amount of glass waste produced by the community and pollutes the environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect and optimum value of concrete mixed with glass powder and superplasticizer. This study used 8 cylindrical specimens with variations in the percentage of glass powder of 0%, 4%, 6%, and 8% and 2% superplasticizer. The results of this study are obtained the average value of the tensile strength of concrete split with variations of 0% glass powder and 0% superplasticizer (BN) is 3,36 Mpa, 4% glass powder and 2% superplasticizer (BK-4) is 3,58 Mpa , 6% glass powder and 2% superplasticizer (BK-6) of 3,4 Mpa, and 8% glass powder and 2% superplasticizer (BK-8) of 3,33 Mpa. So that the optimum value of concrete is obtained from variations of 4% glass powder and 2% superplasticizer (BK-4) which is 3,58 Mpa with obtained an increase of 6,55% from normal concrete. Based on this, it is necessary to do research on concrete using different and more varied percentages of glass powder.
