This research aims to obtain an overview of standard Indonesian pronunciation errors in official
programs on Indonesian television. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive analysis
method, namely classifying data by watching, listening to and listening to television programs and
taking notes and confirming the data found based on pronunciation errors. Each error data is
separated from each television station and errors in written Indonesian standard pronunciation will be
visible from each data source. The data collection technique in this research is a listening and notetaking technique. Data analysis techniques using language error analysis procedures, namely data
identification, data classification, and determining error frequency. The data source for this research is
spoken language which contains standard Indonesian pronunciation errors in television news on
Indonesian television. The results of the research show that there are errors in standard Indonesian
pronunciation, and these errors are included in interlanguage errors, namely, (a) Language transfer,
(b) Transfer of training. Lack of attention from presenters and reporters on Indonesian television to
dignify standard Indonesian. This is due to a lack of motivation to act about standard Indonesian
pronunciation. The results of this research can help television stations in Indonesia to prioritize
standard Indonesian pronunciation, as well as the need for Indonesian language training to be held by
authorized institutions. | en_US |
