dc.description.abstract lang is a type of informal language that is widely used to communicate. Slang is a language that has a unique term, in which new terms and new meanings are created. Chaer and Agustin (2010) stated that slang is created and used by certain social groups to communicate internally while remaining unknown to others. This study investigates how slang is used in the movie Malam Minggu Miko (MMM).Therefore, this research was conducted to find out the types of slang on MMM movie according to the method of Allan and Burridge (2006) which are divided into fresh and creative, flippant, imitative, acronym, and clipping. The results of the research showed that all types of slang in movie conversations were found which were used as the source of this research.en_US
