dc.description.abstract | The objectives of the research were to determine the types of translation methods that used in Winnie the Pooh’s dialogue in English – Indonesian subtitle in Christopher Robin movie and to find out the most dominant translation methods applied in Winnie the Pooh’s dialogue in translating Christopher Robin movie.The research was conducted by using descriptive qualitative design. The data of this research were utterances based on the script of Winnie the Pooh’s dialogue that were translated from English into Indonesian in Christopher Robin movie. The data was analyzed by using translation method based on Newmark (1988). The result of this research were: (1) there were four types of translation methods in the script of Winnie the Pooh dialogue, namely: Word for word translation (33 utterances or 21,1%), Literal translation (89 utterances 57%), Faithful translation (7 utterance or 4,48%), and Semantic translation (27 utterances or 17,3%). (2) the most dominant translation method applied in Winnie the Pooh’s dialogue is Literal Translation (57%). | en_US |
