dc.description.abstract This study aims to determine the effect of personality and work orientation on employee performance with employee placement as a mediating variable at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV Medan. In this study using the associative method with quantitative approach. The total population in this study was 368 people and the sample as many as 192 respondents using proportional random sampling. Analysis technique used is path analysis and Sobel test. The results showed that personality variables, work orientation and employee placement have a positive and significant to employee performance. Personality and work orientation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance through employee placement as a mediating variable. The results of this study show that personality variables have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Work orientation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Employee placement has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Personality has a positive and significant effect on employee placement.Work orientation has a positive and significant effect on employee placement. Personality has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through employee placement.
