dc.description.abstract Movies are one of the choices for most people in choosing or filling their spare time. The current film industry has never died considering that in recent times, film fans in Indonesia in particular have grown rapidly. Even though there are more and more enthusiasts in watching a film, of course, everyone has a pattern of elements that they like in the film. Be it storyline, genre, plot or other elements, of course, one of the reasons why people like the film. This is one of the challenges for film producers to find out how the pattern of the elements they like can make a film according to these elements. The purpose of this research is to find out the pattern of what elements are liked by people in liking one of the films that have been produced. The a priori algorithm chosen in this study is very good for looking for a pattern and the formation of itemset and with this algorithm will be able to determine the pattern of selecting the favorite film element in the film that has been produced. The results of this study using the a priori algorithm resulted in 8 rules for the favorite pattern of film elements based on the predetermined support and confidence values. With the following results, it will be easier for film producers to prepare and make the best films with the pattern information that has been obtained.
