Soil is an important element in agriculture because it is a medium soil in farming. Temperature and humidity can affect plant growth and farmers' difficulties, namely knowing the temperature and humidity values on their agricultural land without having to go directly to the land. In fact, information on temperature and soil moisture is very important because this information is used for corrective actions in managing agricultural land. Based on these problems, the authors designed a miniature monitoring system that can determine the value of temperature and soil moisture in miniature agricultural land by SMS. This design system uses the Arduino Uno as a control system for the entire circuit, a GSM module as an SMS sender and receiver, a DHT22 sensor to measure temperature, a soil moisture sensor to measure water moisture in the soil and an LCD that displays the sensor value. The method of application is that the user simply sends an SMS to the number on the GSM Module and an SMS text that contains "check soil temperature" or "check soil moisture" so the user will get a notification from the system and get information on the sensor value of the miniature land. To find out whether the SMS has entered the system or not, the user can see the SMS sent on the LCD display in accordance with the text we send to the system.
