The Indonesian government through the Smart Indonsia Program provides cash assistance through the Smart Indonesia Card. KIP is a card that is owned by a student with the aim of obtaining cash assistance that has been regulated based on Presidential Instruction Number 7 of 2014. However, to get KIP assistance funds have several conditions that must be met. Dwiwarna SMKS Medan is a vocational school that provides access to students to get KIP assistance. The problem that occurs is that the selection process for KIP assistance recipients has not gone through the proper procedures, causing the impact of social jealousy among students who should not be eligible to receive assistance but receive KIP assistance funds. This is because some students have relatives of school employees so that student data can be manipulated. Therefore, it is necessary to have a decision support system that is able to select the eligibility of students receiving KIP funds quickly and accurately by using the Preference Selection Index (PSI) method. The Preference Selection Index (PSI) method, which by line performs calculations on the multiplication of the matrix between the criteria which has the weighted value of each alternative, resulting in the PSI value which will be the final result in determining the eligibility of students to receive KIP assistance funds. The resulting impact is the selection of students who truly qualify for KIP funding.
