dc.description.abstract The use of the internet network has become a human need in the era of globalization in the distribution and retrieval of information. Therefore, the confidentiality and security of information must be protected from interference or attacks from irresponsible parties. One way that can be used for information security is to use hybrid cryptographic techniques using the advantages of each algorithm. Hybrid cryptosystem is based on the need for message security which requires fast cryptographic algorithms in the encryption and decryption process and has a high level of security. In this study, a hybrid cryptosystem is used with a combination of the Gronsfeld Cipher symmetric key algorithm and the Rabin asymmetric key to secure word document files (*.docx). The results of the system testing in this study show that the time required for text file encryption is directly proportional to the character length of the text file. This means that the longer the text file used, the longer it will take to encrypt and decrypt the text file. Keyword : Cryptopraphy, Hybrid Cryptosystem, Gronsfeld Cipher, Rabin, Document Word en_US
