Research is aimed at knowing the best value of the brake material from bamboo powder carbon with hardness testing, wear and impact of brake material. The method used Vikers Microhardness Tester, the wear and tear of equipment used by the motor that there is disck and caliper and impact test using Charpy method. The brake materials used consist of bamboo powder carbon then added aluminum powder, brass powder, graphite, barium sulfate, silicon carbide, fiberglass, and epoxy resin with the specified grain on each specimen. The result of this weaver can be deduced Kuliatas bamboo powder carbon brake on specimens 3 in the hardness test and impact has a better quality with a hardness value of 17 kgf/mm2 and a impact value of 0.0000621 J/mm2 when compared to the brake of asbestos material with hardness value 16.2 kgf/mm2 and impact value 0.0000324 J/mm2. While the quality of wear test on specimen 1 with Wear value 0.00000555 g/mm2 capable to be able to brake the asbestos brakes with a value of 0.0000574 g/mm2.
