dc.description.abstract This research is to find out the best composition of the brake material from coconut carbon fiber through the wear, hardness and brake material. The method used is direct emphasis using the hardness Tester, motor burn and tool-type impact test. The brake materials consist of coconut coir carbon, barium sulfate, graphite, fiberglass, aluminium powder, brass powder, calcium carbonate, silicon carbide and epoxy resin with a percent specific composition for each specimen. The result of 3 specimens with the method of wear testing, hardness and impact specimen only with a ratio of 70:30 recommended as an alternative material for brake as the value of hardness, and impact value (persistence) with the value of hardness in 18.1 kgf/mm2 and impact values 0.00048 J/mm2 Keywords: Brake, Carbon, Impact, Hardness and Wear. en_US
