dc.description.abstract The Water Turbine is a type fluid enginr from a group of power machines that can convert fluid energy into mechanical energy in the from of turbine shaft rotation,then the mechanical energy at the turbine shaft rotation is used to rotate the generator using water as the working fluid.This study uses a pelton turbine with a ladle and aims to determine the effect of variations in nozzle diameter on turbine torque and power. This research was conducted in the mechanical engineering laboratory of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering,Universitas Harapan Medan.The experimental method is the method used in this study.Pelton Turbine Peformance Response With Variaions Of Water Pressure Flow Nozle Diameter. The result obtained are : (1) The Maximum Turbine Power at The generator rotation produces a rotation of 1800 rpm with a load of 460 watts of power. (2) The resulting efficiency in the turbine is 2,1% with a power of 490,5 watts. (3) Based on the Pelton Turbine test using The Taguchi Method,with a maximum Rotation Nozzle Diameter response,namely at a Diameter of 22 mm, resulting in 414.8 Rpm of Turbine Rotation.
