Impack test or Impack test is a test using rapid loading of the impact test is a test that distinguishes impact testing with tensile testing and hardness. Aluminum (Al) is one of the non ferrous metals which has several advantages, such as having light weight, corrosion resistance, and good shape. To get good aluminum material, aluminum is often combined with the addition of copper (Cu), magnesium (Mg), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), zinc (Zn), and so on. In this research will be casting and testing of Aluminum and Silicon, the amount of material composition is determined in Kilogram divided by percentage Al 90%-Si 10%, Al 92% - Si 8%, Al 94% - Si 6%, in this writing percentage comparison of alloys is shortened to Al-Si Alloys. Tests conducted are the impact test with standard ASTM E23 Charpy method to determine the toughness of Al-Si alloy material. From the results of this test in obtaining the value of toughness with the best impact price is Al-Si 92%-8% with 15,0 J / m², and the value of energy absorbed which shows the best value is Al-Si 94%-6% alloys of 1,206 J.
