dc.description.abstract Pelton turbine is a type of impulse turbine that cnverts all water energy into velocity energy before entering the turbine runner.The power generated in the water turbine (Pelton Turbine) varies depending on the flow of incoming water to turn the Turbine.This research was conducted in the mechanical engineering laboratory of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering,Universitas Harapan Medan The experimental method is the method used in this study.Peformance Analysis of the Pelton 2 Nozle Turbine with variations in the number of buckets.The results obtained are: (1) The maximum power of the pelton turbine on generator turn produces a torque of 1800 rpm to produce a load of 460 watts.(2) The greatest efficiency generated at the maxium power of the turbine is 429,18 watts with an efficiency of 2,1 %.(3) Based on the Pelton Turbine test using the Taguchi Method, The maxium response value for the maximum number of rotating buckets is the number of buckets 16 resulting in 419,7 Rpm of turbine rotation and the maxium power produces a turbine load of 382,2 watts.
