dc.description.abstract Air refreshment is a process of cooling the air so that it can reach the appropriate temperature and humidity required for the air conditions of a particular room. At the Jasamarga Kualanamu office, there are 2 main offices in the office, each room has AC, there are 2 to 3 AC, to simulate the condition of the AC in the room, someone must enter the room with an AC temperature of 20oC and feel cold in the room. the purpose of this research is to design a standard vapor compression cycle refrigeration machine used to cool pertalite, identify the characteristics of the pertalite cooling machine, the manufacture of the pertalite cooling machine can be known by preparing all the main components of the pertalite cooling machine, the manufacture of the pertalite cooling machine frame followed by the process of making the evaporator, the process connection by welding followed by a vacuum process. The variation of the research carried out in this study was on the condenser cooling fan, to examine the characteristics. From the pressure and temperature data obtained, the data can be processed to determine the temperature in the condenser and evaporator. It can be concluded that the cooling machine produces a final pertalite temperature of -17.9oC for variations of fan rotation at 800 rpm, the heat absorbed by the evaporator (Qin) at 800 rpm on average is 126.879 kJ/kg, 1000 rpm on average is 125.424 kJ/kg, 1200 rpm the average is 127,400 kJ/kg, the average heat released by the condenser (Qout) 800 rpm is 168,125 kJ/kg, the average 1000 rpm is 169,620 kJ/kg, 1200 rpm the average is 172,064 kJ/kg, Compressor work (Win) 800 rpm on average 41.246 kJ/kg, 1000 rpm on average 44,196 kJ/kg, 1200 rpm on average 44,663 kJ/kg, Heat efficiency (η) 800 rpm on average 72 ,61%, 1000 rpm the average is 70.56%, 1200 rpm the average is 71.25%.
