Screw extruders are commonly used in extrusion processes such as the food industry, injection molding and plastic production. It is used because of its geometry, effective product quality control. whereas extrusion of thermoplastics is where the material is melted by external heat or frictional heat and conveyed forward by screws to the die-booking, which gives the required product shape. This extrusion process is a continuous process in which many products such as raffia films, pipes, sheets, mono filaments, fibers and filaments can be produced. The choice of screw extruder largely depends on the flowability of the bulk material being fed through the equipment. Most screw extruders are designed for a specific type of bulk solid material. In the design of the extruder, extreme care is taken to avoid possible flow problems associated with material handling. Based on the results of the entire extruder machine design process that has been made, the following results can be taken. The results obtained from calculations on the screw extruder are the calculation of the driving motor torque of 346.15N/M, the diameter of the shaft is 1.9mm. the initial conducting screw is 0.244 M, the distance of the screw channel is 0.144 M, from the results of the design calculations, the capacity of the extruder machine is obtained. The production capacity of the screw machine is 35.32 kg/m³, the pressure power generated on the screw is 2.7011 Hp.
