The function of the Fan belt on the cadet car engine is to transfer power, move the shaft of the AC compressor, alternator shaft, water pump and so on by connecting special shafts with a rope commonly called a Fan belt or v-belt. The Fan belt is prone to damage because the Fan belt has problems with the pulley. There are several causes of failure of the Fan belt, such as: the working pressure exceeds the working pressure of the approaching Fan belt. The weakness of the Fan belt chain is that it sounds rough so it requires maximum maintenance. The purpose of this study was to determine the tensile stress, tensile strain, and modulus of elasticity of the cadet car Fan belt using a tensile test device. The method used in this study is a tensile test method using a UTM machine. Material testing machine with a length of 104 mm using ASTM E8. The results of this study have 5 specimens for the first specimen on the Fan belt has a tensile stress with a value of 91,66 MPa, strain with a value of 0.04. And the modulus of elasticity with a value of 2.291,5 MPa. The second specimen on the Fan belt has a tensile stress with a value of 95,73 MPa, a strain with a value of 0.06 . And the modulus of elasticity with a value of 1.595,5 MPa. The third specimen on the Fan belt has a tensile stress with a value of 78,08 MPa, a strain with a value of 0.03. And the modulus of elasticity with a value of 2.602,6 MPa. The fourth specimen on the Fan belt has a tensile stress with a value of 82,16 MPa, a strain with a value of 0.05 and a modulus of elasticity with a value of 1.643,2 MPa. The fifth specimen on the Fan belt has a tensile stress with a value of 90,73 MPa, a strain with a value of 0.03 and a modulus of elasticity with a value of 3.024,3 MPa.
