As one of the fastest transmission media capable of transmitting information with a very large capacity today, fiber optics need to consider building materials very well. Whether it's for the length, fiber thickness and cable flexibility. However, it is inevitable that there will be attenuation both during the manufacturing process and during installation. Some of the optical fiber losses here include Rayleigh Scattering, Absorption, and Microbending/macrobending losses where each of these characteristics has factors that support the rise and fall of optical fiber loss values. In addition to losses, the characteristics of optical fiber are dispersion, bandwidth and data transmission rate (bit rate) which are the reference parameters for fiber optic cable quality. By analyzing some of these characteristics which are varied with wavelength and other factors such as attenuation and radiation curvature for macrobending, cable length, pulse widening, we can determine the change in the value of each cable characteristic.
