The Medan City KPU Office is one of the government agencies that has the responsibility of organizing general elections with integrity for the realization of elections. The problem that occurs is that the attendance system carried out by employees at the Medan City KPU Office is still carried out using fingerprints. However, attendance using fingerprints often experiences problems with the machine, for example, when there is a power outage, the fingerprint machine cannot be used by employees, which can hinder attendance. This study proposes a solution for a web-based application to record and organize all forms of attendance data collection or attendance hours, into the information system, using a QR Code so that employees do not need to queue for attendance at work using fingerprints. This system development method uses the Waterfall method with stages using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. With the QR Code in the development of an attendance data information system that will be developed by the author in the form of a web-based application. It is hoped that the application that is built can facilitate and speed up the work of recapitulating employee attendance, so that it is more optimal, effective, and efficient.
