The tourism industry is currently one of the income sectors that has a very large impact on a region or a country. The city of Medan has great tourism potential such as natural beauty, cultural wealth, historical locations and buildings, good geographical location which will be a great potential for tourism development, one of which is a children's entertainment business.
here are many places for children's amusement rides that exist today, such as those in Medan City and its surroundings, for example Mini Discovery Center, Kidzilla, Maxi Play, Starkidz, Cocoland Space. However, most tourists do not know what amusement rides are around them to visit because the current information presentation is not maximal, such as websites or social media which only contain narratives, are less efficient and take a long time to find them.
To overcome the existing problems, we need an information system that can provide information about amusement rides geographically and accurately based on the location of tourists to the nearest rides in the vicinity. Web-based geographic information system can be a solution to overcome the problems that exist today by using the Euclidean Distance method. With the Euclidean Distance method in finding the nearest location for children's amusement rides, it will be able to produce a web-based geographic information system that makes it easier and helps tourists to find information and find out the location of amusement rides in the vicinity.
