PT. Torganda PKS Rantau Kasai is one of the palm oil processing factories that produces crude palm oil (CPO), palm kernel (kernel). The problem that often occurs is damage to the sterilizer machine. The purpose of this study is to calculate the effectiveness of the sterilizer machine and provide suggestions for machine maintenance planning. The method used is the method of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Six Big Losses to calculate the effectiveness of the machine and find out what losses are the biggest. The results of the calculation of the effectiveness of the sterilizer machine from May 2021 to April 2022 the average value of the availability ratio is 96.33%, performance efficiency is 64.40%, and the rate of quality product is 100%. So the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) value is 62.04%, this value is still below the world OEE standard that has been determined, which is 85%. The value of six big losses that has the biggest effect on the decrease in the effectiveness of the sterilizer machine is reduced speed losses, which is 82.46%. The proposed maintenance plan is to improve the daily, weekly and monthly maintenance of the sterilizer machine, to apply preventive and corrective maintenance to the sterilizer machine, to carry out regular inspections of the sterilizer machine.
