ABSTRACT
In connection with the plan of the Directorate of Islamic Education of the Ministry of Religion to realize the implementation of the planning for the construction of the STAIN Sultan Abdurrahman Integrated Lecture Building, Riau Islands, which is located in Anambas Regency, Riau Islands Province, a topographic mapping survey of the area will be held to support and complete the required data. The topographic mapping process itself is a mapping process in which measurements are made directly on the earth's surface using terrestrial survey equipment. With the development of electronic soil measuring equipment, the measurement process becomes faster with a high level of accuracy. This study aims to create a complete and actual situation map that includes facilities and infrastructure in the area or area surveyed. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the measurement of the situation that had been carried out in this work using a total station (TS) measuring instrument compared to a theodolite measuring instrument resulted in more accurate measurement data and could minimize correction errors. And based on topographical data analysis in each building in the STAIN Sultan Abdurrahman IAT building the height of the ground elevation is getting smaller towards the west of the building, in the HKI building the height of the ground elevation is getting smaller towards the east of the building, in another building the height of the ground elevation is getting smaller towards the east of the building.
