Production planning and control activities in general, the ultimate goal of a company is to gain profit, sustainability and business development. On the other hand, there are consumer demands that the company must meet. Consumer demands generally include good quality, low price, timely delivery of volume and time, flexible and varied products. In order for the goals of both parties (producers and consumers) to be fulfilled, the company must be able to plan and control production by paying attention to all these goals. Capacity Requirements Planning specifies the capacity needed to plan material requirements. Specifically, the planning horizon is years, time buckets are weeks, and revisions are made weekly or monthly. The projection of capacity is between workers and / or machine hours and the work center. From the results of the calculation of capacity requirement planning in the Twin Tofu-Tempe home industry, it turns out that there is a lot of excess time capacity to meet the actual demand when the proposed improvement is made. So in this plan the authors provide a revised CRP report planning, it can be seen that the home industry method has a total shortage of time capacity of -481 hours / year, while using the Capacity Requirement Planning (CRP) method has a reduced time capacity deficiency of -89 hours / year. with the results obtained in the proposed improvement, there is an excess capacity of 118 hours / year, so the CRP Capacity Requirement Planning method is better, because the resulting shortage of time capacity is smaller than the method currently used. In optimizing the existing time and production capacity by using 8 hours / day working hours into 2 shifts in 1 day with 4 working hours in one shift, it turns out that the company has excess time and production capacity by dividing the working hours from 8 hours to 4 hours work with different shifts according to the existing work center.
