The Clean Air Road area from the Rela road junction to the Jalan Bahagia By Pass intersection, Sudirejo I Village, Medan Kota sub-district is a road that is often passed by residents. This area has problems that must be addressed. The problem is that when there is high rainfall in the area there will be puddles of water on the body and shoulders and dysfunction of drainage channels. The problem that is reviewed from the writing of this thesis is to calculate the capacity of the existing drainage channel, calculate the channel cross section according to the flood discharge and analyze the condition of the existing drainage channel.
This study was conducted by conducting hydrological and hydraulic analysis. Hydrological analysis includes rainfall data, rainfall intensity using the Mananobe formula and flood discharge using the Rational Formula. Furthermore, calculating flood discharge requires the Catchment Area area, flow coefficient value and rainfall intensity during the time of concentration with the equation Tc=Td+To. The rainfall value used for calculating rainfall intensity is the average daily maximum rainfall from 2010 to 2020 in BBMKG Station Region I, Medan.
