dc.description.abstract | One of the things that must be considered in the implementation of work is the realization of job satisfaction. Employee job satisfaction can be achieved if all of his expectations can be fulfilled in carrying out his work duties. Therefore this study aims to examine and analyze the effect of role conflict and role ambiguity on job satisfaction with emotional fatigue as a mediating variable (study on SAMSAT employees in South Medan). The theory used to analyze these problems is about role conflict, role ambiguity, job satisfaction and emotional exhaustion. Data analysis techniques in this study used multiple regression analysis and path analysis. This research was conducted at SAMSAT Medan Selatan, namely all employees totaling 72 people. This type of research is quantitative research. The primary data source comes from distributing questionnaires The results of this study include partial and simultaneous role conflict and role ambiguity significantly influence job satisfaction and emotional exhaustion both directly and through mediation of emotional exhaustion. Therefore to increase job satisfaction and minimize emotional fatigue, SAMSAT Medan Selatan needs to provide periodic direction in explaining work plans both short, medium, and long term.
