| dc.description.abstract | This research is based on the idea that evaluating employee performance plays an important role in improving the quality of public services. To improve employee performance, it is necessary to analyze the factors that influence the performance. Therefore this study aims to examine and analyze the effect of work ethic, organizational commitment and employee engagement on performance (studies on SAMSAT employees in South Medan). The theory used to analyze these problems is about work ethic, organizational commitment, employee engagement and performance. This research was conducted at SAMSAT Medan Selatan, namely all employees totaling 72 people. This type of research is quantitative research. Data analysis using classical assumptions and multiple regression equations. The results of the research obtained and at the same time become the conclusions of this study, among others, partially and simultaneously work ethic, organizational commitment and employee engagement have a significant effect on employee performance. Therefore to improve employee performance, SAMSAT Medan Selatan needs to update the data processing application needed by employees.
