dc.description.abstract This research is based on the idea that the success of a company in addition to having employees needed by the company is also influenced by job satisfaction and organizational commitment. By Karen, job satisfaction and organizational commitment become one of the problems because it affects the continuity of the company. This study aims to determine the effect of role conflict and emotional exhaustion on job satisfaction and case study organizational commitment at PTPN III Medan. The research was conducted at PTPN III Medan which is a company engaged in plantations, management, and marketing of estate crops located on Jl. Sei Batang Hari No. 2 Medan. The population in this study were employees of PTPN III Medan. The research sample of 132 respondents. The technique of taking samples is by using simple random sampling. This research is a comparative causal study with a quantitative approach. Analysis of the data used using path analysis with SPSS. The results of the research that were obtained as well as conclusions of this study include role conflict has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction with tcount> ttable, 10.734> 1.656 on sig. 0,000 <0.05. Emotional fatigue does not have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction with tcount> ttable, 1.430 <1.656 on sig. 0.155> 0.05. role conflict has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment with tcount> ttable, 4,562> 1,656 on sig. 0,000 <0.05. Emotional fatigue has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment with tcount> ttable, 2.635> 1.656 on sig. 0.009 <0.05. Role conflict, emotional exhaustion and job satisfaction have a strong relationship with organizational commitment. meanwhile, organizational commitment at PTPN III Medan can be explained by role conflict, emotional exhaustion and job satisfaction by 74% and the remaining 26% can be obtained by other variables not examined.
