| dc.description.abstract | This study is concerned to analyze denotative and connotative meaning focuses on Lambe Turah instagram account. This study uses the Semantic Types of Meaning theory based on Abdull Chaer’s theory. Chaer divides semantic types of meaning into eight categories, namely: lexical and grammatical meanings, referential and non-referential meanings, denotative and connotative meanings, word meanings and the term of meanings, conceptual meanings and associative meanings, idiomatic and proverbial meanings,kias meanings,locus,illocution and perlocution meanings.mThis study aims to find out the type of meaning which is implemented in the data. This study uses qualitative method in analyzing the data. The data in this research is Lambe Turah instagram commentary post. There are 2 semantic meaning types that analyzed in this research. The result from this research shows that there are 24 clauses that contain relational process. Connotative meaning (45,83%) is the second dominant type of relational process, denotative meaning (54,16%) is the most dominant type of relational process. | en_US |
