dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to analyze and prove the effect of job promotion on work performance in the North Sumatra Province Fisheries and Maritime Service, the effect of work discipline on work performance at the North Sumatra Province Fisheries and Maritime Service, organizational commitment moderating the significant influence between job promotion on achievement work at the North Sumatra Province Fisheries and Maritime Service, organizational commitment moderates the significant influence between work discipline on work performance at the North Sumatra Province Fisheries and Maritime Service. This type of research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The sample used in this study amounted to 130 people. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis and moderation. The results of this study indicate that the promotion of a positive and significant effect on employee work performance of the Department of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs of North Sumatra Province. Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on the work performance of North Sumatra Province's Fisheries and Maritime Service employees. Organizational commitment is able to strengthen the influence of job promotion significantly on the work performance of North Sumatra Province's Fisheries and Maritime Affairs Office employees. Organizational commitment is able to strengthen the effect of work discipline significantly on the work performance of North Sumatra Province's Fisheries and Maritime Service employees.
