PT. Toba Pulp Lestari, Tbk is a company engaged in the business of pulp and paper production with the marketing area of domestic and foreign products. PT. Toba Pulp Lestari, Tbk is one of the largest pulp and paper producing companies in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to determine the ability of the process based on existing off grade products using the seven tools method to then be controlled by analyzing the causes of off grade products and seek improvements using the Kaizen method. The results showed, there are 3 types of off grade products, namely Low brightness, Silica Acid, and Viscosity. From the calculations, the results showed that the largest off grade products are Low brightness (53.29% level of disability) and Silica Acid (26.81% level of disability). For continuous improvement Kaizen steps are carried out using the Five Step Plan namely Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke.
