| dc.description.abstract | Financial distress can occur in the company if the company is unable to meet company obligations, especially debt repayments that occur in the company both short-term and long-term debt. This research aims to determine whether Profitability, Liquidity, Leverage and Company Size affect the Financial Distress of in Basic and Chemical Industrial Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2014-2017 Period. This research is quantitative descriptive. The data analysis technique used was logistic regression analysis. The number of samples was 58 companies in the four observation periods, with a total sample of 232 samples. The results showed that, Profitability, and Liquidity had a positive influence and significant on financial distress, and leverage had a influence significant on fianancial distress. While the size of the company had no significant influence on financial distress in the Basic and Chemical Industrial Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange Period 2014-2017.
