The mabel processing process at UD.MJP often experiences unsafe acts, such as non-compliance with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by workers when cutting, planing and drilling wood. In addition, dusty factory locations due to wood chips also threaten the health of workers. UD. MJP is a mabel processing company with branches in North Sumatra and has 70 employees. Occupational accidents and health risks occur from the start to the end of the work process. The main problems are employee indiscipline in using PPE, lack of K3 training, and inadequate PPE supplies. This study uses the Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) method to analyze and improve occupational health and safety management at UD. MJP. The aim is to identify the causal factors of accidents and implement preventive measures as well as assessments. The results showed that human factors (non-compliance with PPE use) and standardization factors (equipment errors) were the main causes of accidents. The recommended controls are requiring the use of PPE such as gloves, compiling correct work instructions, providing training, and arranging the correct cable layout. In addition, the use of full PPE is required when joining wood. These recommendations can help increase employee awareness and safety and prevent accidents at UD. MJP is in the process of mabel processing.
