The faster a technology develops and the more people access the Internet, the more a website is visited and used by humans. This much use increases the complexity of requests and demands so that the website stays in high performance. For the past two decades, Representational State Transfer (REST) has been considered the standard architecture for designing and implementing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) as a backend application or server-side web service. Research procedures have been carried out to provide explanation in terms of step-by-step comparative analysis of web application performance using graphql and fire rest in high-load scenarios. Between the GraphQL and REST architectures, GraphSQL has faster and more efficient reading capabilities than REST in the News & Media website application. It can be seen from the tests that have been carried out and applied to the response time, troughput, cpu load and memory utilization parameters that receive very fast response results compared to REST.
