Fine aggregate is one of the main components in the concrete mixture which influences the mechanical properties and strength of concrete. The Deli River is a natural resource that is available in quite significant quantities in certain areas. Meanwhile, Percut river sand is a type of river sand whose sand is not used by the surrounding community. The method used in this research is the experimental method of using Deli river sand and Percut river sand on the compressive strength of concrete, which was carried out at the Civil Engineering Concrete Laboratory, Harapan University, Medan. and the main objective of this research is to find out how the use of Deli river sand and Percut river sand affects the compressive strength of the concrete produced, and to make an important contribution to improving the quality and efficiency of infrastructure development by utilizing local resources more effectively and reduce dependence on outside resources. Based on the results of the compressive strength test, concrete using Deli River sand obtained 19.76 Mpa and those using Percut River sand obtained
11.18 Mpa. So it can be said that those using Deli river sand meet the minimum requirements for compressive strength, while those using Percut river sand do not meet the minimum requirements for compressive strength.
