The increase in the number of private vehicle users in urban areas often does not align with the provision of adequate parking spaces, causing significant issues such as traffic congestion and irregular parking control. This research aims to design and implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based parking area monitoring system that can provide real-time parking availability information via a website. The system utilizes the ESP32 microcontroller, ultrasonic sensors, and infrared sensors to detect the presence of vehicles in the parking area. This system is expected to facilitate drivers in finding empty parking spaces, reduce traffic congestion, and improve travel efficiency. The research methodology includes literature review, prototype development experiments, and system performance testing in a controlled environment. The results of this research indicate that the IoT-based parking monitoring system can effectively monitor parking availability and provide accurate information to users.
