dc.description.abstract Stone ash comes from waste from the stone crushing industry, which is very large in quantity. Stone ash has the criteria of passing a 50 mm diameter sieve and being retained on a 100 mm sieve based on the results that have been carried out so that stone ash becomes a very useful waste as a mixture of building construction materials because stone ash can function as a fine aggregate to replace sand. This research was conducted to determine the optimal level of use of stone ash and to find out to what extent it can be used to solve environmental pollution problems. The use of stone ash as a fine aggregate to replace sand in concrete mixtures with a stone ash composition of more than 20%. In this study, stone ash was used as a substitute for natural sand with proportions of 20% and 30%. The results of this research show that the use of stone ash as a fine aggregate produces a total value of compressive strength of concrete with a variation in the percentage of the amount of sand. Normal concrete compressive strength results were obtained. with the results of compressive strength almost approaching the specified concrete quality, the compressive strength of concrete with a mixture of 20% stone ash is obtained with a compressive strength value that exceeds the required concrete quality value, and the compressive strength of concrete with a mixture of 30% stone ash will even be very satisfactory. The quality of the concrete is in accordance with the concrete quality requirements. In this test, the soaking period for the concrete is carried out at 28 days. The results of this test were carried out based on tests that had been carried out with a quality of fc'= 22 MPa. In all variations in the composition of rock ash and in this study, the substitution of fine aggregate with rock ash is very good for use as a mixed material in concrete.
