Plates are structural elements that support live loads and dead loads and transmit them to the girders and then to the lower structure. In planning the underpass plate, it must be taken into account properly so as to avoid damage that causes the structure to experience deflection that exceeds tolerance limits so that it does not only cause unsafe for the user. but the occurrence of damage (cracks) which is categorized as experiencing a malfunction or collapse within a certain period of time. Basically planning a good underpass slab is whether the underpass slab is strong enough to withstand the working load or not. because in this plan the dimensions and reinforcement that should be used will be produced, to simplify the work process, an evaluation of the underpass slab will be carried out using Table Dr. Ernst Bittner along with SNI 1725: 2016 and RSNI T-12-2004 to find out whether the material and dimensions of the reinforcement used are sufficient to withstand the deflection that occurs in the underpass slab. From the calculation results, it is found that the use of reinforcement using the SNI method is more efficient than using the limit strength method because the difference in reinforcement spacing in SNI is much greater than the reinforcement spacing in the limit strength method.
