dc.description.abstract This study aims to carry out an in-depth analysis of ASTM A179 pipe failures in the boiler combustion chamber. These pipes are vital components in the boiler system that often fail, which can result in large losses both economically and safety. Failure analysis methods are used to identify and understand the causes of pipe failure. The results showed that a number of factors played a role in the failure of this pipe, including corrosion, high operating pressures, and extreme temperatures in the boiler combustion chamber. In addition, an analysis of the microstructure and material composition of the pipe was also carried out to understand the structural changes that occurred during operation. The results of this analysis provide valuable insight into how these pipes degrade over time. By understanding the causes of these failures and structural changes, the development of more effective maintenance strategies can be recommended. The findings from this research have the potential to improve boiler system reliability and reduce the risk of pipe failure in the future. In addition, the use of pipe materials that are more resistant to harsh environmental conditions can be an important step in increasing the performance and service life of boiler pipes in industries that use boilers as the main component in their production processes.
