dc.description.abstract The need for clean water is very important for the basic needs for the life of living things, especially humans. Humans use water for various purposes in daily life. In a residential/apartment area, water will affect various aspects including the health of the occupants, the cleanliness of the facilities and others. Based on this fact, the pump must be able to generate fluid pressure so that clean water can flow as needed. This study aims to calculate the total pump head, pump shaft power and pump efficiency in analyzing the performance of a centrifugal pump to drain clean water from the groundtank to the rooftank in the Vasaka The Reiz Condo Medan building. Data were collected by direct observation at the pump unit by obtaining the length, height, diameter of the pipe, pipe thickness, density of fluid, number of pipe turns, from the centrifugal pump unit which was carried out by research and observation. Each of these data is collected and then processed by the calculation method. In calculating the centrifugal pump pressure, we must first calculate the pump head then we can calculate the centrifugal pump shaft power and calculate the pump efficiency. In this calculation will be calculated pressure pipe pressure, suction pipe, head loss on pipe friction, from all the data above added up it can be seen how much the total head. the total head on the pump is very influential to drain the fluid from the groundtank to the rooftank. And the shaft power of the centrifugal pump also greatly affects the rate of fluid flowing from the groundtank to the rooftank. The faster the shaft power is carried out in the centrifugal pump shaft, the faster the liquid fluid flows. From the total head and shaft power on the pump, then we can see the efficiency of the centrifugal pump. Then the total head of the centrifugal pump is 68.15 meters, the shaft power for 1 (one) pump is 24.6 kw and the efficiency of the centrifugal pump in the analysis of the performance of the centrifugal pump to drain clean water from the groundtank to the rooftank in the vasaka the reiz condo Medan building. obtained by 69.02%.
