Because welding is essential to all metal engineering, welding technology is an integral aspect of the production process. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how different cooling media affect the tensile strength and hardness values of stainless steel 201 and 304. river sand and beach sand are two examples of the cooling media that are used in 304 stainless steel material with a single V-shaped seam welding joint and a seam angle of 50°. Based on the research data analysis, we have determined that the weld metal hardness value with the highest average value of 436,3 VHN is found in SMAW welding results with variations in river sand cooling media, and the lowest average value is found in SMAW welding results with variations in beach sand cooling media. a mean value of 313,7 VHN, and According to the research data analysis results, the SMAW welding results with variations in cooling media beach had the highest tensile strength value, 610,16 N/mm2, and the SMAW welding results with variations in cooling media river had the lowest tensile strength value, 309,47 N/mm2.
