The security and confidentiality of information in text files is a very important thing to do, especially sensitive or personal information that should only be accessed by authorized parties. Apart from the security aspect, something you also need to pay attention to is storage memory. In today's modern, digital era, information can be exchanged wirelessly via digital media anywhere and at any time, this requires users to have adequate storage space and short delivery times. The larger the text file to be sent, the longer it will take. Therefore, additional steps are needed to streamline storage media by compressing it so that its size becomes smaller. This research combines a combination of the Bacons Cipher cryptographic technique and the Even Rodeh Code compression technique. This research will produce an application that can be used as an alternative solution for maintaining the confidentiality of text files so that they can only be accessed by the data owner and can save the need for data storage space to be more efficient. The application of Even Rodeh Code compression can also increase the security of the Bacons Cipher algorithm, which is a classic cryptographic algorithm because after compression it will produce text that is more random and does not show patterns of connection with the original text.
